Plan Overview & Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to enroll?
Highly Recommended! The health insurance company is changing from UMR to Blue Cross Blue Shield. We highly recommend reviewing the benefits and documents in the Bswift Library and in this portal. This is also a time to re-evaluate your current benefits and make changes for the 2024-2025 year. Changes and enrollment made during open enrollment become effective July 1, 2024. Otherwise, current benefit elections or waivers from the 2023-24 plan year will rollover to the 2024-25 plan year. You are required to re-enroll in the medical and dependent flexible spending accounts - the FSA accounts will NOT automatically carry forward! Review your dental and/or supplemental life insurance elections. Review your designated beneficiaries.

Medical Provider Networks
Check to see if your healthcare facility or provider is in the BCBS network(s). IMPORTANT NOTE: If the clinic is in-network, then you can assume all the providers are also in-network. BCBS contracts by clinic/care system rather than by individual provider. The networks for the different health plans are Blue Performance Regional Network and Aware Network.

Triple Option Plan: GREAT NEWS! With BCBS, you get the best benefit when you go to providers in the Blue Performance Regional network. If the clinic/facility is in this network, you can assume the physician is in the network, too.
