Our school district is experiencing tremendous enrollment growth. We are a popular school district with lots of housing growth; with that growth comes families with children. Over the next ten years PLSAS is expecting an additional 2,185 students spread across all grade levels (2017/18 – 2026/27). Long-term facilities planning is underway, with the district's Facilities Task Force meeting to study enrollment and demographic data. The Task Force will identify needs, generate ideas and provide input to a Facilities Design. There will be opportunities for the public to review options and provide input before Board action this spring. More information.
Twin Oaks Middle School
Once the district’s high school, Twin Oaks now serves middle school students. Our mission is to develop the potential of all students by providing a nurturing environment for students to grow academically, socially and emotionally.
Twin Oaks and Hidden Oaks are partner schools located across the street from each other. Staff at each site work together to benefit students by creating class opportunities and electives that could only be offered by the two schools working together.
Twin Oaks' amenities include an auditorium and swimming pool, and it's also home to the ATLAS alternative learning center for students in grades 7-8.
Twin Oaks is proud to be part of a 2013 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools Sustainability District that supports Environmental Education (EE). Our middle schools offer a popular EE club called Earthlings to help students develop leadership skills, participate in service learning opportunities and promote EE initiatives in the schools.
