Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools is one of just 14 school districts throughout the nation to receive a Green Ribbon Schools District Sustainability Award from the U.S. Dept. of Education.
In 2016, 617 seniors graduated from PLHS. Our school made Newsweek's list as one of America's Best High Schools in the nation for turning out college-ready grads.
Prior Lake High School is home to a new Fab Lab (fabrication laboratory), where students can make almost anything!
Prior Lake and Savage are proud of the abundant lake and recreation areas in our communities.
PLSAS uses technology in all of its K-12 classrooms to set standards for all learners using 21st century skills.

Prior Lake High School was named one of the best high schools in America by
Magazine based on its quality teaching staff along with its Advanced-Placement and college-level course offerings.
The Washington Post named PLHS one of America's Most Challenging High Schools in the nation, placing the school in the top 10 percent of U.S. high schools. Additionally, 92% of the class of 2015 are currently attending two- or four-year colleges/universities.
Technology is integrated into the curriculum, including online and hybrid course electives, and SMART Board technology. Students also choose from a full range of English, science, math, social studies, PhyEd/Health, fine arts and world language offerings.
PLHS is committed to the E-STEM initiative through programs such as Project Lead the Way, EcoTeam, robotics and through our small-scale Fabrication Labratory, or Fab Lab. In the Fab Lab, students can make almost anything from decals to phone cases. PLHS is proud to be part of a 2013 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools Sustainability District that supports Environmental Education.
