Our mission is to educate all learners to reach their full potential as contributing and productive members of our ever-changing global community.

COVID-19 Dashboard

Keep track of what’s happening with COVID-19 cases in our school district. Every week, we’ll post an updated count of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the district. In order to best protect privacy, we will not include identifying information about the individuals who test positive.

The PLSAS COVID-19 Incident Command Team continues to meet with Scott County Public Health on a weekly basis to make adjustments to the Safe Learning Plan, if needed. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to changing Safe Learning Plan requirements. Decisions must be based on clear trends and operational feasibility, not on a single data point. To guide decision-making, the district will monitor several data points, including:

  • Scott County case rate data
  • COVID-19 and Influenza-like Illness case rates in our schools
  • operational logistics including staffing
  • future vaccine availability for children under the age of 12
  • any updated masking guidance from public health officials
