Election Information

Election Day is on November 6, 2018.

All Minnesota voters will have these races on their ballot:

  • U.S. Senator
  • U.S. Representative
  • Governor & Lt. Governor
  • Secretary of State
  • State Auditor
  • Attorney General
  • State Representative

In addition, in PLSAS, we will have 4 seats for school board (4-year terms).

ABSENTEE VOTING - Begins September 21, 2018
Before any election, residents may vote absentee starting 46 days before the election at the Scott County Government Center, 200 Fourth Ave. W. in Shakopee (not in Prior Lake or Savage) during regular business hours (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). You can also vote absentee on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Monday, Nov. 5, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. You may pick up an application for an absentee ballot in person, or request one by mail from the Scott County Elections Department at (952) 496-8560. Candidate Forum

School board candidates were invited to participate in a forum that was held October 11 at Prior Lake City Hall and sponsored by the Prior Lake Chamber of Commerce. During the forum, the moderator asked questions that were submitted in advance of the event.
