Community Education Classes re-opening

We are happy to announce that will be offering limited summer camps and activities while following guidelines from the MN Department of Health, the MN Department of Education and school administration. We are redesigning our offerings with new health and safety procedures in mind.

What will this look like?

  • Smaller class sizes or classes held in larger spaces
  • Staggered start times and designated drop off and pick up locations
  • Health Screenings for staff and students
  • Individual supplies
  • Increased cleaning of areas prior to and after classes
  • Practicing social distancing strategies
  • Use of face coverings and disposable gloves, provided by the district, when handling items from parents/students that are brought from home.
  • Increased hand hygiene before, during and after classes

Summer Kids' Company Update

Warm regards to all,

Leanne J. Weyrauch, Director Community Education Services

Community Education encompasses Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), Kids' Company, Youth Programs, Adult Programs, facility rentals and many events.

To accomplish our mission requires that parents, family, schools, faith communities, businesses, community organizations and all people living within our community work together. This can be done through a cooperative effort in meeting the recreational, educational, social and cultural needs and wants of the community.

Our programs are committed to the development of a quality, comprehensive lifelong learning system. This system will recognize that throughout life each community member is valued as both a learner and resource. Community Education Services will work proactively in partnerships with other school district programs, community groups, municipalities, businesses, organizations, agencies and individuals in realizing shared ideals.
