Our mission is to educate all learners to reach their full potential as contributing and productive members of our ever-changing global community.

Community Ed

Thank you for trusting us with your needs for enrichment, connection and learning.

We are working diligently to re-develop our programming. The situation is rapidly-evolving and updates change daily as new information becomes available. We are closely monitoring the guidelines and recommendations from the Governor and the Minnesota Department of Health and Education. Upcoming classes may be held with modified delivery.

Class Sizes

Class sizes will be kept low to account for proper social distancing.  Register early to ensure a spot in your favorite class.  All registrations must be made in advance.  Instructors are not able to register participants at the class.

If you are canceling within 5 business days for reasons related to COVID-19, a refund minus instructor costs and processing fee may be issued. If you are unable to attend a class due to being exposed to COVID-19 or showing any symptoms of sickness, please contact us in advance to discuss your refund options.

Class Modifications

Classes may be cancelled or modified due to the current pandemic.  If you are registered, we will notify you via email or phone of the changes. Make sure your contact information is updated in your online Community Education account when you register. Also please, refer to your reminder email sent 2 days prior to the class for any time and location changes made to your class.

Class Platform

Classes are offered either in-person or using a virtual online platform.  If you are more comfortable taking a class in an online virtual platform, contact us to see if a virtual option is available for your class.

Health & Safety is Top Priority

Before attending an in-person class: monitor yourself for exposure to COVID-19 or sickness and stay home when necessary, wear a mask to class, practice proper social distancing during class, and wash your hands before you enter the class.

Thank you for your commitment to lifelong learning. We look forward to returning to learning!  – Community Ed Team

Kid's Company Update

Community Education encompasses Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), Kids' Company, Youth Programs, Adult Programs, facility rentals and many events.

To accomplish our mission requires that parents, family, schools, faith communities, businesses, community organizations and all people living within our community work together. This can be done through a cooperative effort in meeting the recreational, educational, social and cultural needs and wants of the community.

Our programs are committed to the development of a quality, comprehensive lifelong learning system. This system will recognize that throughout life each community member is valued as both a learner and resource. Community Education Services will work proactively in partnerships with other school district programs, community groups, municipalities, businesses, organizations, agencies and individuals in realizing shared ideals.
