Flexible Spending Account

A Flexible Spending Account is an easy way to lower your taxable gross income and increase your spendable income.

With a Flexible Spending Account, you set aside part of the money you earn each year before Federal and State income taxes, FICA and Medicare taxes are calculated thereby lowering your gross income and increasing your disposable income on each paycheck. Then, that money is paid back to you as reimbursement for health care and/or dependent care expenses that you incurred and have to pay out of your own pocket. This allows you to pay for certain unreimbursed expenses prior to income tax calculations.

All full-time and regular part-time employees are eligible to participate.

The 403(b), also known as a tax-sheltered annuity (TSA) plan, is a retirement plan for certain employees of public schools and some tax-exempt organizations. It is an excellent way to save money for retirement whether as a supplement to a traditional pension plan or other retirement plan(s), or as a stand-alone plan. Long-Term Disability

Long-term disability is an insurance program that pays eligible employees two-thirds salary in the event they become disabled. Our long-term disability insurance carrier is ING ReliaStar Life Insurance Company. If you should become disabled, there is a 30-calendar-day waiting period from the date of your disability before LTD insurance would begin. If employee's application is approved, on the 31st day of disability, the LTD insurance shall pay two-thirds of your salary while you are totally disabled. You can also elect to use one-third of a sick day from your accumulated sick leave for each day on LTD to supplement the long-term disability benefits until sick leave hours are depleted.
