Medical Insurance: May for a July 1 start

Dental Insurance: May for a July 1 start

403(b):
Employees have three opportunities to enroll in a 403(b) plan or make a change to an existing account per year:

  • One election may be made during May open enrollment and will take effect the start of the next work year.
  • Two elections may be made between June 1 and April 30. Any elections made between June 1 and September 1 will take effect the next work year. Salary reduction shall be deducted on a bi-monthly basis of equal payments for the remainder of the work year or until a new authorization change has been requested.

Flexible Spending Account: May for a July 1 start
Life Insurance: Automatically enrolled per terms and conditions of employment
Dependent Life Insurance: All year
Supplemental Life Insurance: All year
Long-Term Disability: Automatically enrolled per terms and conditions of employment

When Can I Make Changes to my Medical and Dental Coverage or my Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?

Typically these changes can only be made during open enrollment periods; however, there are some life events that allow you to change your coverage mid-year. Click here for a list of qualifying life events.
