Five Hawks Elementary
Five Hawks Elementary and Outdoor Learning Center is a place where a welcoming community is built and environmental learning is fostered.
Our mission is to provide opportunities that will enhance learning in a safe and caring environment by helping each student reach his/her potential while striving to become respectful citizens in a diverse society.
Five Hawks is proud to be a 2014 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School that supports Environmental Education, as well as a Minnesota Department of Education Reward School. An E-STEM school, students at Five Hawks receive instruction and learning focused on inquiry and real-world problem solving in the 21st Century, applying hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematical practices with projects and field experiences related to the environment.
The Outdoor Learning Center is located directly behind Five Hawks and features trails, ponds and foot bridges which are actively used by students for Environmental Education. This area is proudly maintained by our students.
