Learning during COVID-19
The PLSAS Ready to Learn Plan contains the most up-to-date information about learning models, including our current model, as well as safety information, child care, transportation, school meals and more.
We are proud to be E-STEM schools where students receive instruction focused on inquiry and real-world problem solving in the 21st Century, applying hands-on science, technology, engineering and mathematical practices with projects and field experiences related to the environment.
Our middle schools offer a popular Environmental Education club called Earthlings and create safe and respectful learning environments through our GPS (Growth Produces Success) program.
Our district programs have been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education with PLSAS being named a Green Ribbon Schools Sustainability District that supports Environmental Education.
Due to a significant number of new cases of COVID-19 in Scott County and our school district, elementary students will transition to a full-time Distance Learning model beginning Monday, November 30. Secondary students in grades 6-12 are currently in the Distance Learning model.
